La Vie en Bleu was designed as an open call for both professional and amateur photographers around the globe, focusing on street and documentary photography. The programme invites participants to engage with the streets and stories of Nice, showcasing their work in a grand month-long exhibition at the historic Mediterraneo – Gare du Sud in the heart of the city. The centerpiece of the programme: an all-expenses-paid, one-week residency for the winner, during which they will develop and complete a personal project, under the mentorship of Ximena Echagüe, to be exhibited alongside the finalists.
The collaboration between Gandiva MediArts and Ximena Echagüe has brought La Vie en Bleu to life, creating a platform that not only celebrates street and documentary photography, offering accessible opportunities for professionals and amateurs to work and expose internationally, but also invites participants to critically engage with the rich cultural landscape of Nice. This first edition of La Vie en Bleu represents the beginning of an ongoing international photography initiative, offering photographers a unique chance to elevate their work, share their stories, and become part of Nice’s artistic legacy.
